TEF Canada is the test used in an application for Canadian citizenship when you are already obtaining the CSQ (Quebec Selection Certificate) to request your permanent residence. After this date, no registration will be taken into account. Hard copy of the results will be mailed to your house by mid-February You must read this letter thoroughly, print it prior to the morning of the test and bring it with you to receive admittance into the exam room indicated on the letter.

If you have not accessed your portal recently or do not remember your password, you will need to contact the Computer Help Desk for assistance. The test starts at 8: The instructions will be read at 8: There are no automatic registrations.
It is the only exam held between 8: Any student without a printed copy of their confirmation letter will not be admitted. We ask that you arrive at least half an hour early 8: Any student arriving more than a half an hour late after 9: Students should bring a blue or black pen.
Do not use pens with erasable ink, they may fade and cause your writing to be illegible. Do not bring a pencil case. Each student may bring only three 3 reference books on basic language from the following list: You can not share a dictionary with your neighbor. Please verify that the dictionary you intend to use does NOT contain additional material such as essay writing or dictionary of literary devices as you will not be allowed to use it.
Students educated outside Canada Students that were educated outside of Canada in a language other than English or French prior to coming to Dawson, may be eligible for an extra hour 5 hours instead of 4. Please bring a copy to give to the coordinator. She will not make the copy for you. This must be done before the end of the Exit Test registration period. If you attended high school in Quebec, you will not be eligible.

The May test results are usually available by the third week of June, the August test results by early-September and the December test results by the third week of January. If you are a Continuing Education evening student, please refer to your timetable for Placement Test information.
This is an in-person test only and will be held at Dawson College. You must arrive no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of your test. As these tests are timed, if you arrive late, you will not be given more time to write the test s and depending on how late you arrive, you may have to come back on another date to write your test.
Taking the SAT
An email with detailed instructions will be sent to students 1 — 2 business days before the test opens. It is your responsibility to check and read the email with the instructions, and to make sure that you complete the online French Placement Test during the availability period. Placement Test Information was included in your online Admissions Package. It provides all necessary Placement Test information for our newly admitted students. You must be registered to write your English Placement test.
